Invitation to Live in the Son

Let’s apply ourselves to some Helio physics – the study of the sun. Consider these facts about the sun …

· The hottest part of the Sun is its core (15 million °C). Surprisingly, the following hottest part of the Sun is its corona and not its surface, the photosphere, which has an average temperature of 5,500 °C.

· You can fit 1.3 million earths into it.

· It occupies about 99.86 percent of the total mass of the solar system.

· The sun is the closest thing to a perfect sphere that has been observed in nature.

· The Sun emits approximately 3.8 × 10²6 joules of energy per second, primarily through nuclear fusion processes in its core. This output results in approximately 4 million tons of mass being converted into energy every second.

· There are eruptions in the sun known as solar flares. These flares have an explosive force comparable to billions of nuclear bombs. Large streams of charged plasma that are released during solar flares typically travel at speeds of several million miles per hour.

Can you imagine if you and I were able to abide in the physical sun – to dwell in the intensity of a trillion trillion 100-watt light bulbs, to be energized by the equivalent of millions of atomic bombs detonating at once, to be super-accelerated at the speed of millions of miles per hour, to be expanded infinitely beyond our human capacity?

Points to Ponder

· The sun is a created thing. The creator created it. To what degree exponentially is God absolutely more than anything he created?

· We receive from the sun as a source of light, energy, and warmth. We benefit from the son as the source of grace, power, and love. He invites us into him to exercise synergy beyond just experiencing him as the source.

· The sun is most of our galaxy and the most important entity in our galaxy – the Milky Way. Without it, we are not. Infinitely more so, the Son is the fullness of God in the earth. Without him, we are not.

· We are called to fullness IN Christ! He dwells WITHIN us! The energy, power, light, and speed that emanates from the Son eclipses that of the sun. You and I are uniquely designed to calibrate to a much higher and more intense expression of existence as we abide IN him.

Kingdom Strategy

We don’t need more of God. If we are IN Christ, his fulness dwells within us. We have the invitation and ability to acclimate to his speed, power, and brilliance!
