Creating and Accelerating Momentum
in you and your organization
“Let’s identify factors limiting growth and eliminate them; let’s identify factors catalyzing growth and capitalize them.”
We all get in our own way at times. It's almost humorous, isn't it? As hard as we try, we still limit ourselves. As much as we focus on improving, we still miss the mark. The same thing happens in organizations. We need to identify the factor limiting growth and eliminate it then identify those factors catalyzing growth and capitalize on it! That's when we'll experience accelerated organizational momentum.
Grow in Your Systems
Sometimes we limit growth because we struggle to focus on the right things. We know that if we could get our teams focused on that one thing, momentum would be gained. But, for a myriad of reasons, we find our teams majoring in the minors and minoring in the majors - and that is costly, sometimes even deadly!
At other times, we don't even know what those right things are. We know there's change needed because the indicators are staring us in the face with every report. So, we send our teams to that training and implement what we thought would work, but struggle to see much lasting significant change.
We wonder if the investment was worth it. We're missing something somewhere but don't know how to move our organizations forward. That is such a frustrating place to find ourselves in. We don't lack vision. Our teams don't lack initiative. It's not a lack of preparation.
Maybe it's something just inside our reach. Maybe the answer is an outside-the-organization relationship with someone who can help drive change! Let's face it - driving change is an added job for you, your leadership team, and the whole organization!
“I love to be part of someone discovering their gifts and role, developing those gifts, then being launched to deploy those gifts.”

Let's Talk About Weaknesses and Strengths
Some have written that we shouldn't focus on our weaknesses much at all - just capitalize on your strengths and you're good. The reason that improving a weakness from a two to a three on a scale of ten won't make nearly the impact as improving a strength from an eight to a nine. I could not agree anymore.
However, focusing on our strengths exclusively and just ignoring our weaknesses as organizations is like investing all of your resources to develop wonderful lodging and recreation areas around a beautiful lake area when you know that the dam is not holding water and the hemorrhage is growing exponentially.
Imagine ignoring that weakness in the dam continually, the level of the water lowering by the day. At some point, you're going to have awesome lakeside accommodations with no lake! That doesn't make much sense.
So, let's identify those factors that are limiting your growth and eliminate them and identify those factors that are catalyzing growth and capitalize on them!
Factors limiting growth eliminated; Factors catalyzing growth capitalized.
Launching a System for You
How many times have you purchased a system that seemed to work for someone else? You don't want to miss out on the next trend if can truly deliver. Before investing, you ask all the questions to ensure that it is the right investment for your organization.
You pull the trigger. Excitedly, you study up so that the terminology and methodology roll off your tongue like the names of your four children. You plan the rollout. Then you launch the system.
It's met with great enthusiasm ... for the first few months, then the initiative loses momentum and finally is put in the storage room to collect dust like the old photocopier that has been replaced with the fancy new technology.
The Vision of Leadership
Does that feel familiar? You didn't lack vision. You didn't lack initiative.
You didn't lack preparation. You lacked an outside-the-organization relationship with someone who could help you implement the system. Let's face it - the implementation of that system was just another added responsibility for you and your leadership team and it was likely perceived as an added burden within your organization.
